Remedial Massage

Remedial Massage focuses on correcting a physical problem, pain or dysfunction. It involves the assessment and treatment of common muscle, tendon or ligament dysfunctions. This type of massage is great for relieving tight knots and muscle tension. Treatment focuses on specific muscles, tendons and ligaments which may be dysfunctional due to abnormal posture, stress, injury or overuse.

Remedial Massage may be helpful with pain and injury management as well as aiding in the repair of damaged muscles, tendons and soft tissue. It combines a number of different techniques to help you regain normal movement and muscle function. These techniques may be gentle or firm, deep or shallow, depending on what may be causing your issue.

At the beginning of your session, your therapist will assess you and perform a few tests to check for muscle/joint function, pain and range of motion. This will give them a better indication of what may be causing your pain or discomfort. The therapist will then tailor make a treatment plan to suit your needs.

**Health Insurance rebates available for Remedial Massage and Pregnancy Remedial Massage. A receipt will be provided upon completion of your treatment. You can use this receipt to claim your rebate through your private health fund. Relaxation massage is not claimable.
